Job description

Temporary post to cover for staff absence following medical treatment. Seeking help for 8 to 10 weeks from September 2024. 

  • An opportunity to work and learn in an established cheesemaking buisness utilising cows milk
  • Exacting standards of hugeine
  • Physical work requiring strength and mobility 
  • We will be making a lot of blue cheese ready for the Christmas Season.
  • Statutory Food hygeine training, Allergen training, lifting and handling training will be provided and must be undertaken.
  • Friendly team
  • Business has wone many awards for sustainable farming 
  • Rural location on North norfolk coast. Village has several buses a day. Bicycle loan available  Great birdwatching.

We are farmers, about 500 acres, with a dairy herd . anaerobic digestor and a cheeseroom producing artisan cheese near to Wells next the Sea in North Norfolk. We are committed to a more sustainable future and regenerative methods. Forage-fed Brown swiss cows, anaerobic digestion to yield electricity to grid, using strip till and cover crops to protect soil. We aim to demonstrate good farming practice to anyone who will come and listen. We love our soil.
