Job description
Are you an experienced grower passionate about regenerative agriculture? Can you lead and develop our Community Farm?
The Fold Community Farm is a 4-acre market garden set on a 200 acre plant-based Soil Association certified organic farm near Malvern, Worcestershire where we produce vegetables, herbs, fruit and eggs, supplying 65 veg boxes per week for our CSA members. We also provide vegetables for our Fold Café and Veg Shed honesty shop, which is becoming very popular. In addition to our field production, we have an area of no dig beds, two polytunnels and a glasshouse. We are keen on low till and no dig with use of green manures, composts and extracts. Our small team includes volunteers.
We’re looking for a self-starting Head Grower who can further develop our team and production systems, evolving our Community Farm into a self-sustaining enterprise.
Nestled in Worcestershire’s beautiful Teme valley, the Fold CIC includes an organic farm, vegetarian café, artisan studios, a natural therapy centre, and nature trails. As a Community Interest Company, our mission is to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals, the community, and the planet.
The role is full-time with base salary of £26,000 dependent upon experience and living arrangements. Accommodation is available on site whether in the 16th century farmhouse, our beautiful 1 bedroom straw bale house, or in your own caravan.
