Job description

This is a 20-month paid traineeship opportunity to develop commercial growing skills at our community-owned organic fruit and veg farm on the edge of London, ideal for aspiring farmers.

Key Responsibilities at a Glance

  • Growing commercial-scale organic fruit, vegetables and salad crops (field and polytunnel)
  • Supporting volunteer groups in practical growing activities
  • Learning to operate farm machinery and maintain infrastructure
  • Assisting with crop planning and record keeping
  • Contributing to weekly harvests and crop management
  • Participating in training and development activities

Hours: 3 days/week, Monday-Thursday with some flexibility 

Contract Type: Fixed 20-month contract (until November 2026)

Expected Start Date: March 2025

Our farm sits on a beautiful 7.1 acre smallholding with views towards the skyline of central London.
