We're passionate about crafting delicious, handcrafted bread and pastries using traditional methods and the finest local ingredients. As a not-for-profit social enterprise, we're committed to fostering social change and enhancing community well-being through ethical practices and inclusivity. Our bakery is a place where people from all walks of life can come together to enjoy good food and good company.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced and passionate Baker to join our team and help us grow into a leading social business in the Wrexham area. You'll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of bread and pastry production, from sourcing ingredients to developing new recipes. You'll also play a key role in training junior bakers and leading community workshops.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of bread and pastry production
  • Develop new recipes and techniques
  • Maintain a high standard of quality and consistency
  • Train and mentor junior bakers
  • Lead community workshops and events
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Contribute to the overall growth and development of the bakery

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Head Baker or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of artisan baking techniques
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Passion for community engagement
  • Commitment to social responsibility

Working Hours:

  • Expected hours 40 hours per week
  • Part Time hours also availble, minimum of 16 per week
