  • Assist in daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation, ensuring high standards are consistently met.
  • Monitor the quality and freshness of ingredients, prioritizing sustainable, farm-to-table principles.
  • Contribute to the development of new recipes and techniques that reflect our farm-to-table ethos.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen workspace in compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Support in mentoring junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and professional environment.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, local food movements, and culinary techniques to inspire ongoing innovation.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience in a restaurant or culinary setting. Baking and pastry experience a bonus!
  • Passion for sustainable, locally sourced food and familiarity with farm-to-table practices.
  • Strong understanding of seasonal ingredients and how to work creatively with them.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining attention to detail.
  • A collaborative spirit with a willingness to learn and grow alongside the team.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Culinary degree or formal training is a plus but not required.

What We Offer:

  • An opportunity to work in a creative, innovative, and supportive environment.
  • Access to fresh, organic produce grown on-site.
  • Growth potential as part of an ambitious and expanding restaurant.
  • Competitive salary and benefits package & friendly hours, our core kitchen hours are Tuesday to Saturday 8am - 4pm.

If you’re a passionate chef who values great produce and is excited to be part of an ambitious, farm-to-table team, we’d love to hear from you!

About Tyler's Ground

We are a coffee bar and restaurant on a working farm, our market garden grows the majority of the vegetables we use in the restaurant and all of our meat comes from free range, high welfare meat raised either on our farm or on neighbouring farm land. We opened in 2023 and have grown from being a coffee bar and farm shop, to being a restaurant and event venue that the local community values for its high ethical standards and intensely seasonal cooking from our weekly changing menu.
