Do you have knowledge of agroecological farming and a passion to communicate it? Can you create rigorous and engaging written/audio/visual content on a wide range of agricultural topics for a farming audience? Do you have great event co-ordination skills? Then you could be the person that we are looking for!
The Organic Research Centre (ORC) is the UK’s leading charity focusing on the development and promotion of sustainable, agroecological solutions to food, farming and environmental issues. As well as its core work to change how the country farms by translating our research into real world application, we also manage Agricology which exists to provide farmers with a wealth of easily accessible resources and events that deliver practical, sustainable agriculture. As the Agricology project grows, we are looking to appoint a Content & Engagement Officer to join our team to help build our networks, organise and host events, and develop the content we share across our digital networks.
The successful candidate should have previous experience in content creation and curation and of delivering events, the ability to build successful relationships with individuals and businesses across the farming community whilst producing audio and visual materials (podcasts, webinars, videos, photography etc), and be comfortable with working independently and with the wider team to share knowledge and experience in order to deliver impact. The individual must be prepared to travel extensively across the UK to represent ORC and Agricology.
This role is full-time and home-based, with some UK travel required.

The Organic Research Centre is a small charity, yet we are the UK’s leading independent research organisation for agroecological farming approaches such as organic and agroforestry; we drive our own research agenda to tackle global issues by acting locally and finding community-based solutions for farmers and their supply chains. We work to deliver and co-innovate practical, sustainable land management and food production solutions that produce quality food, minimise resource use and protect and enhance the environment.
