  • An understanding of no dig, soil health, agroforestry
  • Willingness to learn
  • Flexibility
  • Own transport

Desirable:

What we offer

  • Exciting and innovative work based mostly outdoors

*ACCOMMODATION IS NOT ON OFFER - you must live locally to Lambourn or be prepared to relocate yourself*

The site

A 1.2 acre market garden site on the chalky downlands in Berkshire, with forest garden, orchard and large polytunnel.  The systems are set up and there is an existing network of customers.

The site is exposed and can be very windy, but we are establishing windbreaks on all boundaries, some already in existence.

It is a very rural site with Lambourn being the closest community; Hungerford, Wantage, Swindon and Newbury are all within 25mins drive of the site.

The venue

Sheepdrove Organic Farm is a well established organic arable farm and events venue, with some livestock and many enterprises operating from the site.  The landowners are extremely supportive of the market garden and assist with the promotion of it and networking.

There is access to an indoor kitchen, toilets and warm breakout room.
