Job description
We’re looking for a Support Officer to join our team, supporting young people to build confidence, develop new skills, and improve their wellbeing through animal care and outdoor activities.
You’ll play a key role in our Work2Learn Animal Care programme every Monday during term time, helping young people gain hands-on experience looking after animals while making healthy connections and building resilience. In addition to these sessions, you’ll have regular one-to-one check-ins with young people, help monitor their progress, and inspire their interest in animals, agriculture, and the natural world. We’re looking for someone who is confident working with young people, including those with complex needs, and either has experience with animals or is keen to learn.

Hours of work: 6 hours (Monday)
Contract Type: Permanent
Annual leave: 25 days plus statutory holidays pro rata
Salary: £24,702 pro rata (£13.57 per hour)
