Job description

Join The Country Trust as a Residential Discovery Coordinator, bringing the countryside to life for children who have the fewest opportunities to experience it.

This flexible, self-employed role is perfect for someone who is passionate about connecting children with the natural world, building relationships with teachers and farmers, and delivering unforgettable hands-on learning experiences.

  • Flexibility – Work around your own schedule, with seasonal peaks.
  • Impact – Inspire primary-age children to explore, cook, and connect with food and nature.
  • Autonomy & Support – Lead the programme in your region while being part of a collaborative team.
  • Outdoor Learning & Adventure – From farm visits to beach explorations, no two days are the same!

To succeed in this role you will:

  • Have an infectious enthusiasm for food, farming, and outdoor education.
  • Be confident and experienced leader, especially for children and adults in outdoor environments.
  • Have the skills to engage and manage schools, farmers, and local partners.
  • Be highly organised and have the resilience to work independently across public facing responsibilitites and administrative tasks.
  • Understand and/or have experience of the barriers facing disadvantaged children in accessing food, farming and countryside experiences.

Due to our safer recruitment process we are not able to accept CVs for this position.
