About Us 

Be Enriched is a South London community charity dedicated to enriching communities through food. We deliver various projects aimed at reducing food waste and social isolation such as community meals and mobile supermarkets.  We bring people together to share a meal and create access to food for communities with our one of kind Food Bus and Food Float. 

Role Overview 

We are seeking motivated and reliable people to support our Food Projects Team. These roles are crucial for the smooth delivery of our community meals and mobile grocery projects. Ideal candidates will be passionate about supporting or working in the community, food and enjoy cooking. These are flexible roles so you should have a schedule enabling you to step in when we need some extra hands-on deck.  These roles would suit someone retired with a flexible schedule or someone looking to supplement their current work commitments. 

Areas We Need Support 

  • Lead at community canteen to develop menu and execute meal preparation prep with the assistance of volunteers and corporate groups to guests.  
  • Supporting canteen leaders to deliver a community canteen and providing good customer service. 
  • Ensure volunteers are provided with engaging and welcoming experience. 
  • Provide general support at mobile food projects with focus on excellent customer service. 

What You Bring 

  • Enthusiasm or experience in community outreach, kitchen experience or charity. 
  • Excellent organisational skills. 
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Love of food and cooking. 
  • Compassionate and committed to serving the community. 
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing needs and schedules. 
  • Proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision. 
  • Food safety certification.
