Job description

Greener Growth CIC was established 11 years ago and is an experienced provider of permaculture based horticultural therapy projects in schools, prisons and communities experiencing rural or urban deprivation. Starting in East Anglia we now worked across London, Kent, the South East, Wales and are currently starting a project in the Midlands. 

We adopt the ethical framework and design approach of permaculture to work in harmony with the natural environment. We grow food using organic methods that enhance soil fertility and increase biodiversity. Through this, we engage with disadvantaged groups of people and assist them in making healthier lifestyle choices.

Our mission is to Engage communities through developing natural recreation and food production areas. Teach people skills in food production, nutrition and practical permaculture skills. Champion the effectiveness of permaculture and improve biodiversity.

We have a horticulture prison project near March, Cambs and need team members to help us deliver this project. We are looking for people with horticultural experience, ideally RHS or City & Guilds or similar qualifications (desirable). Many of our team have a background in food growing, conservation work, education, or have therapeutic experience. Training and support will be given within the prison environment.

We are looking for a couple of people to help our current team. This is a self employed position with the potential of one days work per week for a fixed term to be decided. Day rate starts at £150 plus expenses. You will need to be or in the process of registering to be self employed and have your own public liability insurance.  

We are hoping to interview week commencing 3rd March. Looking for people that can start late spring.
