Job description

Farm Shop Team Member – Borough Market

Location: 13 Acre Orchard, Borough Market Salary: Competitive, based on experience Availability: Must be available to work weekends (not every weekend, but flexibility is essential)

Are you passionate about organic, regenerative farming and great food? Do you thrive in a fast-paced retail environment, enjoy talking about food and sustainability, and love delivering exceptional customer service? If so, we’d love to hear from you!

What We’re Looking For:

• Positive, can-do attitude – a team player who takes initiative
• Reliable & self-motivated – we need people who show up, take responsibility, and get things done
• Great communication skills – this role involves engaging with customers about food, farming, and sustainability
• Physically fit – some heavy lifting may be required (produce, stock deliveries, etc.)
• Food knowledge & enthusiasm – experience in retail or food sales is a plus, but passion and willingness to learn matter most
• Attention to detail – maintaining high health & safety standards, cleanliness, and product quality is essential
• Operational mindset – optimizing workflows and helping improve efficiency in the shop

What the Job Involves:

• Sales & Customer Engagement – talking to customers about our organic produce and farming methods
• Stock & Quality Control – ensuring everything is fresh, well presented, and up to our high standards
• Operational Efficiency – working with the team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
• Health & Safety – keeping the shop clean, organized, and compliant with food safety regulations
