Job description

Bespoke Food Group delivers high-quality, sustainable catering solutions, and our café at Sacrewell Farm is a key part of the visitor experience. We serve fresh food using  locally sourced ingredients 

We are looking for a passionate and hands-on Assistant Manager to support the day-to-day operations of our farm café, ensuring exceptional service, smooth running, and a great guest experience.  

Key Responsibilities  

Operations & Service Excellence  

- Support the day-to-day management of the café, ensuring smooth and efficient service.  

- Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high standards.  

- Assist in the training, supervision, and motivation of the team to create a positive working environment. 

- Oversee cash handling, stock control, and ordering to ensure efficient stock management and cost control.  

- Maintain strict adherence to food safety, health & safety, and hygiene regulations.  

Sales & Business Growth 

- Support in driving sales and upselling products to maximise revenue.  

- Assist with the promotion of seasonal specials and events to enhance the customer experience.  

- Work closely with the management team to develop ideas for improving service and menu offerings.  

Team Leadership & Staff Development  

- Act as a key support to the Café Manager, stepping in as the main point of contact when required. 

- Assist with staff rostering, training, and performance management to ensure a well-trained and motivated team.  

- Foster a positive and supportive work culture, encouraging teamwork and efficiency.  

Guest Experience & Community Engagement  

- Ensure that every visitor receives a friendly, warm welcome and a high standard of service.  

- Be proactive in handling customer feedback and resolving issues efficiently and professionally.  

- Help develop relationships with local suppliers and the farm’s community partners.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.  
  • Good understanding of food safety and health & safety regulations.  
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.  
  • A proactive, problem-solving approach and a "can-do" attitude.
