About the role:

As a Cookery Class Facilitator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our cookery sessions run smoothly and are enjoyable for everyone involved. Before the class, the Facilitator will familiarise themselves with class plans, recipes and the venue. They’ll ensure all ingredients required for the class have been purchased, and together with the volunteers, they will set up the room and prepare all the items and ingredients needed. During the Cookery Class, the facilitator welcomes and hosts the participants, manages the volunteers, and plays the important role of connecting guests and the chef by supporting the chef to share stories of their culture and journey.

Full training on how to facilitate a Migrateful Cookery Class will be provided.

  • Represent and promote Migratefuls mission throughout the class.
  • Ensure the venue is left clean and tidy after the class.
  • Provide regular feedback after each class including updates to recipes and feedback on chefs, volunteers and the class to help improve future classes and support chef development.
