Job description
Core Arts are recruiting for a one day a week (Tuesday) - Core Landscapes Community Gardener
Are you an experienced all-round gardener and peoples’ person? Do you love promoting the positive mental health impact from gardening and engagement with the natural world? Can you attract equitable engagement to a new community garden?
Core Landscapes, part of leading mental-health charity Core Arts, are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic community gardener to work with us on Tuesdays, who passionately loves plants, gardens, and food growing and can share and pass their passion on to promote positive mental health, increase biodiversity and address climate change.
You will be happy working flexibly under your own initiative, within a project that is constantly adapting to local need and the changing environment. You will relish the physicality involved in this role, enjoy outdoor working in all weathers, with a wide range of volunteers. You will be supported by experienced colleagues to build on your skills and develop your career in the environmental sector.
Horticultural qualifications are noted but demonstrative knowledge by experience is equally relevant.
